Covid-19 Virus- what's happening at CoolHorseSocks Towers
Hi all,
As we all face this troubling time, here at Coolhorse HQ we have been putting measures in to help fight this battle against Covid 19 but still keep open a supply line of your much loved riding socks so you can bring a bit of brightnesss and jollity onto our locked down yards- the beauty of our sock ranges are that they can still be admired and loved from an acceptable distance without compromising the guidelines!
As we are all too much aware the equestrian season has taken a bit of a hit; we aren't going to be attending any shows soon, we've also restricted our times on horseback to ensure we adhere to Boris.
What are we doing?
Our knitting production in Leicestershire has closed down for the next few weeks; bespoke orders are being put on hold but we did manage to get a limited amount of our Spring season items out before the factory doors closed - so in the next week or so we are going to launch them online - we may even do a live event to show you them at first hand if there is enough interest !
How does this affect online orders?
For online orders, Its business as normal here - fortunately as a small sales office we are able to work from home, Katie is still packing orders, taking extra precautionary measures whilst packing, using to Anti-Bac , wiping down any surfaces etc. Our postage system means that we have extremely limited contact with the our post office.
We will be launching our limited range of Spring 20 in this coming week! We all need cheering up and rest assure the new ranges will help put a spring in your step!
Bespoke orders
Unfortunately due to the Prime Ministers statement, we have taken the decision, in light of the latest government directive, to close our Manufacturing plant as of 3pm, 24thMarch 2020. The sales office will still be open & we will still be selling online, however all of our bespoke ranges are now on hold.
This obviously has been a very difficult decision as we fully support the “all in it together” stance, but it has now become a matter of putting the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees to the forefront and we must do the right thing by the communities in which we live and work to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
Social distancing is now of paramount importance therefore we are doing everything to encourage and support this.
At this moment in time we envisage the closure to be to at least until the end of April, but we will of course update you once we are back up and running.
We hope you understand why we have taken these measures and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we have a moral obligation to our employees, their families and the wider community.
We will proceed with your order as a priority knit when we reopen & you have let me know how you like to proceed.
Please Stay Safe and we look forward to hearing from you all soon.
Thanks
Katie and the team at Cool Socks
